Disappointment :(

So I did not get the Global Health Corps Position. :( But hey I applied and that was the most important thing applying. Now that I have applied it has opened my eyes to many more opportunities and many things that are out there that I am not going after and have just been passing by, but no longer will I do that this time I am going in…

Good Lucn and God Speed, to the Man that tries to slow me down!

A Leap of Faith #18 Complete

#18. Apply for something I am afraid to do but would love to

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe. Gail Devers

Let us have faith that right makes might and that in faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it. Abraham Lincoln

As these famous people have stated leaping out on faith is something that you have to have courage to do.  Many of us go our entire lives and never do the things that we truly want to do. Many of us get to an old age where we are singing our shoulda, coulda, wouldas.

I DO NOT want to be that person, so in my bucket list i told myself I was going to take a leap out on life and apply for something that I ideally wanted to do but may not have had the courage to apply myself to it.

So, randomly I am a part of a women’s network where they send out daily information regarding things going on around the DMV. One day I received an email in reference to the GLOBAL HEALTH CORPS, I thought to myself this would be a wonderful opportunity. But I was to afraid to actually apply because what if I got the job, and I would have to leave my family for a year.

But with prayer and courage from my bucket list. I said well this year I am living for me no one else. So that’s what I did I applied for the program on Feb. 17th which was the deadline.

I applied for 3 positions 2 in Africa (Rwanda & Uganda) and one based out of DC, but has heavy travel to South Africa.

Whelp- now I am waiting to hear back wish me luck. The crazy thing is what if I get the position. YIKES scary then what will I do… Stay TUNED

25bfour25 Vday Post… #2 DONE!!!

2. Leave a love note on a window screen

So your reading and thinking this is easy right. No not at all! I am honestly afraid of “LOVE” I love the idea of love but actually being in love is something different. I love when you get flowers at work, I love when you get a random text message just to show that you care. Those are the things that you love most about being with anyone just to know that they care just a little. Love is one of the greatest feeling there is nothing better than knowing that you are loved by someone, whether it be family, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend or random stranger that just cares.

But the Funny thing with love is that to some it’s an easy expression, but for others it likes running into New York Traffic.  That person is me, I cannot just say freely to some people that I love them let alone write it down.  I can show my love by doing things for people I love a million times fold; but to actually come out my mouth and say it without laughing or being playful around the subject is a difficult task.

So in relations to my list, number #2 on my list is Writing a LOVE letter to someone I care about J.

Whewww. Hard is an understatement in how this was, I can start a letter a million times and never finish. But I was determined to get this done. I chose three people one person I didn’t really have a connection but thought was a great person, a person who is like a best friend/lova and a person that I wish was just a lil more then a friend based on where we are (hint- hint). So what better day to do it then on VALENTINES DAY ..      (The Day dedicated to love )

So that’s what I did….

I wrote three letters and delivered them to each of the guys houses I started at 12:30 and ended by 2:22 am and placed them in their windshields with a box of starburst and a chocolate heart J

I contemplated times over and over and over how I was going to sign the letter but you will see I signed it

The best way I knew would keep it interesting….

Praying this will go over well (NERVOUS) gitters ran through my body just delivering my feelings on paper.. blahhh (suckaaaa)

So all in all I fulfilled #2 and let three men know how I felt.. Take a look at the photos… ENJOY

Cherry Popping…

Sooooo, this is my first time blogging. I am a very big fan of bloggers  I love to read blogs, but writing one was just never something I thought I could do.

So you may ask why are you starting one then, for a specific reason this year I am turning “25”… To many, that may not be a big deal but to me its.

Again you ask the purpose of this blog… one day I’m thinking “how can I make this year remarkable another year worth remembering”. But not only does it have to be a year worth living I’m turning 25 so I have to make it good. I am a big fan of cliché’s if you know me you now I live by them and love them. …

So with that being said I had to do it… (You may be asking what?) A LIST… not just any list a bucket list 25 things before I am 25…

And seeing that we are already at the end of January and I turn 25 on July 24th (same a Jennifer Lopez-)”Random” I need to get cracking on my list.  So I started writing and writing things that I wanted to do before I was 25. I ended up with a list of 40 things.  There was so much I wanted to do, but the hardest part was narrowing them down to 25.

So I searched for help from all of those who surrounded me, I received the typical feedback ” skydive” “threesome” “travel the world” yea yea, but I wanted to be realistic. With a job that has me on the road at least 2 weeks out of the month I had to really be sure that I can attain the goals that I set. But at the end of the road I MADE my list :) Now I want to document my progress what better way than a TUMBLR- thanks AC!

But this idea of a bucket list came from a blog a friend/LS did last year ( http://committed1eighty.wordpress.com/) It was pretty great and funny.

WELP HERE I GOO… Wish me luck
